More on The Lenborough Singers

We meet on Monday evenings at St Bernadine's Church in Buckingham and we sing a variety of pieces, mixing classical, popular, choral and show tunes. Each term we hold a concert in one of the local venues and raise money from ticket sales and donations to support a local Charity. The Charities are chosen by members of the singers who usually have a connection with the nominated Charity or a special interest in the work it does.

Our Music Director is Sarah Wakeman and our Accompanist is Ian Riley.

If you are interested in joining the Lenborough Singers please contact us and then Sarah will arrange for you to sit in on a rehearsal and hear how you might fit in.

There is an annual membership fee for the year from September to August. The fee is to cover the three terms and contributes towards the costs of rehearsal venues and the provision of music for our concerts.

Details of our next concerts are given on the link pages.
The Lenborough Singers produced a CD of popular pieces called "Musicbox" in 2010.
In November 2010 and November 2012, we entered the Buckingham Festival of Music and Drama and were very pleased on both occasions to win the Open Choirs Category and were awarded the Stopps Cup.
In March 2012 we reached the final of the Best of Bucks Talent Show, performing at the Waterside Theatre in Aylesbury, one of ten acts to do so
In March 2014 our concert of traditional folk songs from England, Ireland, Scotland & Wales was at the Ugland Auditorium, Stowe School where we were joined by Isla St Clair one of Scotland's foremost traditional singers.
